Most privacy policies are written for lawyers. This one is written for the person actually reading it. So we have put it in the form of the questions people tend to ask.
Do you collect anything about me?
Very little, and only in two ways. If you write to us, we get your name and email address, because that is how a message reaches us. Beyond that, the site quietly records the usual technical details any site records, like roughly where you are browsing from and what kind of device you are using. Nothing that points to you as a person.
What do you do with it?
The technical information tells us which articles are actually helping people, and helps us keep the site running. Your email is used for one thing only: replying to you. We do not build profiles, and we do not pass your details around.
What about cookies?
Cookies are small files that help a site remember you between visits. Ours keep the site working and help show advertising that fits. You are free to block them in your browser. A few features might get a bit wobbly if you do, but nothing important.
Does anyone else see my information?
We use Google for analytics and for advertising. Those tools set their own cookies and follow their own rules, which are worth reading if you care about this stuff. The advertising side is controllable through your own Google settings.
What if I am a child?
This site is built for grown ups. We do not knowingly gather anything from anyone under thirteen, and if we found out we had, we would delete it right away.
Can I ask you to remove my information?
Yes. Write to us, and we will tell you what we hold and remove it if you ask. We would rather you ask than wonder.
